Checking and Resizing Photos on Mac

To see photo size:

Open Finder Find your photo. Right click (on mac, that is Control click)
Choose "Get Info." This will show in the gray popup.

PHOTO GUIDELINES, TO GET THE PURR-FECT BOOK

Upload some of your favorite, cutest pet photos and, if possible, one of the family which will be placed on the inside cover flap. Having lots of great photos is important for us to create your pet's beautiful book.

We will choose the best pet photos you send to include in your pet's Adventure Book. We will try, but we may not be able, to use all of the photos you provide.

Only one pet per book, please.

1. QUALITY - Crisp and clear means a good size. Try to make sure the photo is between 50KB and 3MB. Click here for information on how to check photo size on Mac and here (will open in new tab or window) for how to check photo size in Windows.

2. PLACEMENT - Try to avoid having anything in front of your pet if possible.
(I.e. no grass, other people, other pets)

3. POSITION - Be careful of the angle! We want to see your pet's face. Try to find photos that are taken from directly in front of your pet, instead of a top or bottom shot.

4. VARIETY - Variety of position is important. Try to send photos of your dog or cat in a variety of positions so we can create a really fun book!
